Besides assisting the gang members in fleeing the country, the accused was also allegedly involved in fabricating and arranging forged identity documents, such as bank passbooks and others, for the Bishnoi gang members.

The NIA probe revealed that the accused further used the fake documents to help the gangsters in procuring passports to escape the country, and carry on with their terror activities.

Sarkar is the 22nd accused to be charged so far in the matter, and of these, 18 accused have already been arrested while four are absconding.

The case was originally registered by Delhi Police Special Cell on August 4, back in the year 2022, and later NIA took over the investigation on August 26 the same year, and is continuing to investigate the terror-gangster nexus.
